After a brief closure, the transfer market has reopened today for this summer window and Liverpool are making further plans.

The Reds have successfully completed some prominent signings until 10 June before the transfer market was shut due to an exceptional registration period mandated by FIFA for the Club World Cup.

At this time, the club has signed Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement Jeremie Frimpong for £29.5 million and his Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz for over a £100million fee with £16 million of add-ons.

The latter is yet to complete his medical examination which will be completed once the German star returns from his end-of-season holiday.

Now, moving forward, the Merseysiders have other businesses to take care of.

The Premier League Champions are going through a major rebuild this summer under the guidance of sporting director Richard Hughes which will shape how they perform for the foreseeable future.

In goal, despite selling Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford, the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia and the latest signing of Armin Pecsi from Puskas Academy have solidified the goalkeeping ranks.

Vitezslav Jaros will soon join Ajax on loan.

Defensively, the Reds look strong with the skipper Virgil van Dijk’s newly signed contract and newly signed fullback Frimpong.

However, the contract situation of Ibrahima Konate will remain to be scrutinised and worked upon with immediacy.

The club is fighting to retain young stopper Jarell Quansah who is being pursued by Bayer Leverkusen.

The Merseysiders may also sell Andy Robertson if they get the right deal and in that case, the stay of Kostas Tsimikas might be at the firing line.

After the Wirtz deal is done, Hughes will force his influence upon the Cherries to get the deal done for Milos Kerkez for well under their valuation of €45 million.

The signing of Wirtz has definitely boosted the creativity in the midfield.

But their valuation of £85 million and higher might scare away LFC.
